POPE FRANCIS’ FIVE DAY VISIT TO MEXICO: A BRIEF REPORT

Consider the influence Pope Francis has exerted and expressed during his five day visit to Mexico. Note that He visited areas such as Chiapas which is highly indigenous, underserved and marginalized. And that mass conducted in Cuidad Juarez in a location which could be viewed by El Paso which He briefly visited. His Holiness was effective in conveying challenging messsages to cartel leaders, American and Mexican government officials to become better stewards of the all people and its natural resources. Religious ideals are powerful and influential forces needed to assist all of us in successfully learning to live in peace while respecting and honoring the right of individuals to aspire to enjoy “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

Is it possible to engage in business activities which do not make decisions based on only a profit motive, but rather include a sense of responsibility for ownership and stewardship of the resources and invest in what economists call “human resource investment and development.
