On Thursday the United States Supreme Court in the Case of Texas v. United States, in a 4-4 decision, affirmed by the 5th Circuit Case.  In a nine (9) word opinion by the United States Supreme Court, the Court simply stated: “the judgment is affirmed by an equally divided court.”  This means that the decision by the Texas Court to stop DACA and DAPA remains in place.  DACA and DAPA are dead for now.    Unfortunately, this also means that the approximately 4,000,000 people who may have been helped by DACA and DAPA are now subject to deportation.

In the opinion of the Immigrant Empowerment Foundation and our No Vote-Many Voices Project, we believe that there are only two (2) ways to help the more than 11 Million undocumented workers.  First, take the fight straight to Congress and elect a majority congress that supports undocumented worker rights.  Second, help elect a president who will appoint Supreme Court justices that will support the rights of undocumented workers. That is the only path towards change!

Please follow our blog posting and twitter feeds at www.novotemanyvoices.org

We will be posting updates as we consult with our immigration attorneys and we will continue to educate undocumented workers and the general public on the rights of immigrants.

The Immigrant Empowerment Foundation is a non-profit corporation.
