Gets A Walk of Fame Star

Quintanilla is posthumously awarded a star among 33 other entertainers for 2017 induction

On Tuesday June 28th the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the 2017 inductees into the Hollywood walk of fame. Among the 30+ artists in motion pictures to radio, is Mexican-American artist Selena Quintanilla, whose posthumous award announcement comes 21 years after her death in 1995. Although no longer around physically, her memory and artistry has inspired generations of new fans, emulating her style, make-up and poise.

Walk Of Famer Vin Di Bona said at the announcement Tuesday, “The Walk of Fame Selection Committee is thrilled to announce our newest honorees to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Committee looked carefully at each nominee and we feel that we have selected a great group of talent that will appeal to the tastes of many fans around the world.”

Among Selena’s fellow nominees are Eva Longoria, Tyra Banks, Ice Cube and the group *NSYNC.

“We look forward to their big day as the Walk of Fame Class of 2017 become part of Hollywood history on this famous Walk,” Di Bona added.
